The Original Clay Wedging Board Penguin Pottery designed the original MDF clay wedging board back in 2020, which has since become a must-have pottery tool in the industry. Manufactured in the USA from water-resistant, renewable wood sources, our boards are made with the highest-quality Medex MDF, unlike less water-resistant alternatives used by other brands.

Easy to Carry and Use We designed our clay boards with a built-in handle to make them super easy to transport. Unlike other brands, our boards feature rounded edges, including the handle, for a comfortable, ergonomic experience. We also intentionally omit a canvas cover, which can lead to the accumulation of dry clay dust, a common issue with other clay tools.

Durable and Strong Our clay boards are made with 3/8" Medex MDF, the perfect thickness for strength and durability without being too heavy to carry. This material also prevents clay from sticking, outperforming pottery plaster, clay mats, and polymer clay mats. Our boards can accommodate a variety of pottery tools and accessories, such as clay texture sheets, slab rollers, turntables, and molds.
